About Mohammed
My name is Shaik Khader Basha, a retired employee of the Sainik School in Korukknda, Andhra Pradesh, where I worked as the mess manager. I am a firm believer of helping those who are in need and making this world a better place to live in. Since I am a pensioner, I can only contribute a small amount to help Sajida but when I came to know about Rang De and NDTV’s wonderful collaboration to provide educational opportunities to young children with the help of social investments, I could not think of a better platform to help Sajida. I am here to tell you about my neighbour, Ms. Sajida Begum. Her husband lost his job due to the unfavourable conditions caused in the job market by the covid-19 pandemic. Because of which, they have not been able to afford the fees of the private school that their two daughters study in. The elder daughter is in class 9th, whereas the younger one is in class 4th. Due to lack of funds and their incapability to clear the dues of the school, the school has decided that both the girls will not be promoted to the next class unless their fee is paid. Therefore, with support from Rang De, Sajida can support her children’s education and not let the current financial difficulties come in the way of their future. I believe that with the help of good opportunities, the youth of our country can gain exposure and build a great future for themselves and our society.
