Pushpa Satish Kohad resides in Nagpur with her husband and two sons. She works odd kitchen jobs in a few homes in the city. Her husband works as a painter, her oldest son is looking for part-time work, and her younger son is still in school. The family currently lives in a small part of an ancestral home, divided up among four brothers. Pushpa received the first tranche of this loan in January to kickstart construction of an additional residential unit above her home. This second round of funding will enable Pushpa to complete the construction and rent the unit out to make an additional income. She sees this as a long term investment, that will also serve as a home to her sons when they settle down in the future. Pushpa has taken smaller loans before and paid them back responsibly. With the support of Roopesh, she now has the courage to take this bigger step and is determined to do what it takes to make it work.
I dream of constructing an additional dwelling for my family.
