About Sumi

Sumi is a resident of Keonjhar, a hard-working woman, and one of the many people who work on their farms cultivating vegetables. Her husband has a small plot of land which he uses to cultivate vegetables, while she helps him by working in the field. Sumi grows vegetables in her house yard and sells them in the local market thereby providing some income for her family. When the rains failed and there was no water to provide water to her crops, she was overwhelmed with doubt and thought of giving up. With her small investment this loan will help her buy a system to irrigate her crops; this way she will increase the income she produces for her family.
